Four offices. One marsh. No dry ground.
The Order goes where the road ends, and the road ends at the Fenmarch. The Grand Master wants a commandery on the only firm ground between the river and the sea, and a road through the marsh that does not drown in spring. You are Heinrich von Schwarzkreuz, and you have four offices of the day to take it.
Four offices of the day: the campaign
- Matins - The Reed Road: a column on a causeway, with the reeds moving against the wind
- Lauds - The Ford at Ashen Veil: nine miles of river and one place to cross it
- Vespers - The Half-Built Commandery: tonight it is scaffolding; hold it until it is a fortress
- Compline - The Black Cross in the Mire: a night assault on the reed hall of the marsh clans
