World of Guns: Semi-Auto Rifles Pack #1 expands the free-to-play simulation game World of Guns: Gun Disassembly with ten detailed models of semi-automatic rifles and carbines. This single-player experience focuses on realistic firearm mechanics through interactive 3D models that players examine, operate, and break down part by part. The pack covers designs from early military experiments to modern precision and civilian variants, highlighting differences in gas systems, locking mechanisms, and ergonomics across countries and eras.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on exploring accurate recreations of real firearms in a controlled 3D environment. Players rotate models freely, zoom into internal components, and switch between solid, layered X-ray, and cutaway views to observe how parts interact during operation. Slow-motion playback reveals the sequence of gas flow, bolt movement, and feeding cycles in each rifle. Every model supports full disassembly down to individual pins, springs, and small parts, with logical constraints that mirror real mechanical dependencies. The included semi-automatic rifles demonstrate varied engineering approaches, from long-stroke piston systems in some service weapons to direct impingement or roller-delayed designs in others. Additional features like custom paint application allow personalization of finishes without affecting functionality.
Game Modes
Each rifle unlocks a progression of modes that increase in complexity. Field Strip teaches basic breakdown for cleaning or maintenance. Operate mode lets users cycle the action, fire in real time or slow motion, and reload magazines to study feeding and extraction. Full Disassembly and Assembly require removing or reinstalling every component in the correct sequence. Timed challenges include Game mode for standard speed runs, Super Game which ends on any error, and Hardcore mode that permits simultaneous part removal for faster completion. Leaderboards track personal and global best times for each model. Shooting ranges provide separate timed drills using the rifles for target practice and accuracy objectives.
Models and Design Variety
The ten rifles span pioneering self-loading concepts like the Mondragón and RSC M1917 through postwar designs such as the MAS 49/56 and vz. 52, precision options including the HK PSG1, compact choices like the Beretta CX4 Storm and Ruger Mini-14, plus distinctive entries such as the Johnson M1941, Rasheed, and Calico M100. These selections illustrate evolutionary steps in semi-automatic long guns, from early military trials to specialized marksman and bullpup-inspired layouts. Each model receives the same level of part-level detail, enabling side-by-side comparisons of operating systems and part counts.
Is It Worth Playing?
The base game maintains a Very Positive rating from nearly twenty thousand Steam reviews, reflecting consistent praise for mechanical accuracy and educational value among firearm enthusiasts and hobbyists. The Semi-Auto Rifles Pack #1 suits players interested in deepening their collection of long-gun models rather than those seeking action or multiplayer elements. It delivers targeted content for simulation fans who enjoy methodical disassembly and operation studies. Free access to core features combined with optional model unlocks keeps the experience accessible, while regular additions of new packs indicate ongoing support. Those drawn to precise mechanical puzzles and historical firearm variety will find the pack a worthwhile addition to the existing library.
