Amorphous is a 4v1 multiplayer experience, combining classic prop hunt and hide-and-seek gameplay with a tactical and tense objective-based battlefield. One player takes control of the elusive shape-shifting slime, seeking to consume and contaminate various locations across space and time. Meanwhile, the team of 4 relentless Cleaners unite and attempt to eradicate the ever-evolving threat.
- Consume - Consume the world around you to fuel your endless gluttony. Feed upon humanity's creation to further their own destruction.
- Deceive - You are what you eat, become anything you've consumed to fool and confuse the cleaners. Hide in plain sight or set up an ambush to add a little element of surprise.
- Destroy - Exact your vengeance on the very source of the cleaner's power. Target key points on the map and contaminate their supplies to unravel their plans and prove yourself the ultimate life form.
- Search - Use your advanced equipment to locate and pin down the slime. Trust nothing and question everything, the slime can be anywhere so you must be vigilant.
- Eliminate - Complete the mission and put an end to this failed experiment. Using state of the art solvent dispensing firearms, wash the slime away so that it may never return.
- Survive - You are not the predator here, the slime is ravenous and a weakened cleaner is just another morsel. Stay together, coordinate your attack, and manage your resources. Don't get picked off alone. If all else fails, escape may be your last option.
Players on both sides can equip a variety of active abilities and passive traits to add a strategic layer to their gameplay. Cleaners select different weaponry and gadgets to help outwit the elusive Slime. While the Slime chooses from an array of powerful abilities and mutations to manipulate the environment and sow chaos.
The battlegrounds of Amorphous are brought to life across a variety of diverse and intricate maps spanning space and time. From the ominous depths of a haunted mansion to the high-tech confines of a satellite station, each environment presents distinct challenges and opportunities for both Slime and Cleaners.
