BARI is a bullet heaven action game you play alongside "another you."
Together with the Meari (Echo), mirror-selves that remember how you play, survive the beings that threaten you in the Middle Realm.
Handle a wide range of weapons, refine your own way of fighting, and leave behind another self to join you on the next journey.
Tale of the Nameless
There was a child who was never once born.
A child welcomed neither in the land of the living nor in the afterlife.
Wandering the Middle Realm, the child was given a name: "Muyu."
Two syllables granted to a being that had none. Are they a thread that leads back to the self, or a shackle that drags it down to the underworld?
Step deeper into the afterlife through stages that follow one after another at speed. Amid beautiful landscapes drawn from Korean folklore, cut through swarming enemies alongside Meari shaped like you. At the end of that road waits the story woven into Muyu's name.
Meari, Lingering Like Afterimages
Some have no name in the Ledger of the Dead and were never alive at all, so not even death can gather them whole.
Where they have passed, an afterimage remains: the thing people call a "Meari."
The situations you faced and the choices you made before them are etched into the Mirror of Karma as traces. Whether you see a run through safely or fall at the very end, the traces of that journey are shaped into a Meari in your likeness.
Were You Brave, or Were You Careful?
Did you roam every corner of the Middle Realm, or find a place to settle and hold?
The meticulous combat you honed over a long time and the unfamiliar approach you took on a sudden whim are both a part of you.
A Meari remembers the you of that moment, and fights in your style, adapting to whatever lies in front of it.
