To ensure your peace of mind that this game is still being crafted by humans (slaving away like the good old days!), we want to clarify our asset creation process:
The character design, environment art, and sprites for Billy the Hero are all derived from human effort. Our work begins the old-fashioned way: with advanced tools like a ballpoint pen and paper!
Character Sprites: These are hand-drawn, frame-by-frame. We personally define all proportions, colors, and poses, including all in-game environmental animations.
AI Usage: We utilize AI solely as a production tool in specific areas:
Trailer Animation: (We create the still images, and the AI assists with motion/animation).
Image Upscaling/Quality Improvement.
Localization/Language Translation.
This process ensures that the soul and unique style of Billy the Hero remain firmly in the hands of our human artists, while letting technology speed up non-artistic chores.
