The unique Phaze Shift™ mechanic lets you mix in the next song - like in a DJ set - on the fly during the race. As the BPM count increases so does the max speed of your car.
Drift real good to fill up your car’s Mix Battery Meter™, use it to trigger Phaze Shift™, then drive flawlessly during the mix and obtain the CD-R disc as the next tune drops. Operating your low poly vehicle to shattering 12-bit breakbeats, you’ll be going faster with each drop of a fresh, new song, 4 per course.

CD-R Racing boasts a soundtrack of 100+ tracks from prominent DnB, Jungle and House producers. Artists such as PIZZA HOTLINE, DR GABBA, TIM REAPER, ZORROVIAN, and BLKSMIITH deliver breakbeats at breakneck speeds as you blast through scenic low poly routes in your cult ride of choice.
These very artists actually inspired us to start making our game in the first place. Since 2021 we’ve witnessed the sound of late 90’s rave merging with reverence for PS1 era gaming and it’s like hearing a soundtrack building. Someone just needed to make the game.

But it’s not all nostalgic replication of the past. In recent years boomer shooters have blessed players with larger than life 90’s FPS action, blending modern artistry and musicality into the retro mix. In similar fashion CD-R Racing is a feverish, vaporwave racing dream of past, present and future.
