BACKGROUND
Dark Age Empires is an open world survival game that can be played in single player mode or as an online multiplayer game on a dedicated server.
The game sets you in a world which has been under the control of a great empire that has ruled the land for centuries. It once spanned every corner of the globe.
But now the mighty empire is collapsing under the weight of its own dominance and fortune. The decay grows from within and those on the frontiers grow restless... A chaotic, dark age has begun...
Where do you fit into this dangerous changing world?
Do you have what it takes to not only survive in this dark age, but to rise up, fight back and create your own Dark Age Empire?
ABOUT THE GAME
You start with nothing, but the tunic on your back in a small village. Village NPCs will offer you quests, which will help you learn the game mechanics while advancing your knowledge of the world. Learn how to survive before you head out into the open world on your own or with a group of trusted friends, forming your own guild. You will need to hunt animals, gather recourses and increase your skills in the skill tree to advance. Stake your claim in the world by erecting a monument to keep your possessions safe, use the modular building mechanics to build your own village and defenses, the base from which to build your empire.
NPC villages dot the landscape, providing a place trade crafted goods for gold coin, coin which can be used to purchase items that you require.
Be sure to keep a careful eye out for Empire patrols and camps. The Empire is waning, but patrols are still dangerous, and will attack without warning at times. You are the reasons the Empire is losing control of this land. With a small, brave group, you might raid one of their camps, they offer great rewards to survivors of the fight.
