DoppelTest is a gentle adventure game where you quietly watch over the intertwined lives of a human and a robot for 14 days.
Even if a robot is kinder than you, do you still want to be the one considered ârealâ?
Meet Kagari, a withdrawn child, and Kagami, the stand-in robot who lives Kagariâs life in their place.
One day, by strange chance, the two are made to face a question: Which of them deserves to be recognized as the real Kagari?
You have 14 days. The one who behaves more like a human will be accepted by society as the true Kagari.
âŠBut neither of them may actually want to be âreal.â
This game is far warmer and gentler than its title might suggest.
In this world, thereâs no rivalry or deception over who gets to be âreal.â
Humans care for robots, and robots care for humans.
The story unfolds in an atmosphere of gentle kindness.
The characters are just as unique as the world itself:
A teacher who canât scold their robot students,
a maintenance engineer who canât remember human faces,
and a city hall guide robot who secretly sees Kagami as a rivalâ
all with personalities youâll only meet in this universe.
As the player, all you do is decide which tasksâlike âgo to schoolâ or âspend time with friendsââ
to assign to Kagari or Kagami.
Through these tasks, theyâll meet others, discover their own wishes,
and eventually choose whether to become âthe real oneâ or to step aside for the other.
This game doesnât have flashy effects, gorgeous graphics, or full voice-acted animations.
Instead, youâll find gentle human and robot characters who will quietly move your heart.
