Start with an old building by the town gates and a friend who shares your dream. Together with Gus, build a tavern of your own. Head out with your weapon and lantern to hunt, fish, and forage by day. Come evening, let your chef turn the day's haul into good food while you bring meals and drinks to your guests.
In Gleam Tavern, a successful outing can set you up for a busy night. And a good night's takings can help you go a little further tomorrow.
Wild game, strange creatures, and precious ingredients await beyond the town. Take up a sword, spear, or bow, time your attacks and dodges, and keep an eye out for mushrooms by the trail and fish beneath the water.
Your lantern has limited fuel, and your pack can only carry so much. Push a little deeper, or head home with enough for tonight? Improve your equipment and lantern to explore farther afield—and bring your hard-earned ingredients back to the kitchen.
Rabbit and mushrooms make a comforting stew. But what might your kitchen do with slime jelly, fruit from a treant, or clusters of crystal sugar?
Unlock and improve recipes, turning familiar produce and unusual finds into dishes, desserts, and drinks. Plan your menu around your supplies and give your chef something new to work with. Tonight's next great meal might be waiting in a forest you haven't explored yet.
Food is ready at the kitchen hatch, a guest is waiting for a drink, and that empty table needs clearing. Serve meals, pour drinks, and keep the evening moving with your own two hands.
Hire and train staff, find the right roles for them, and arrange your furniture to make room for both happy guests and a smooth service. As your reputation grows, expand and decorate your tavern, shaping a little roadside business into a place that feels like yours.
Grow vegetables and tend animals on your farm to keep the kitchen supplied. Brew beer and fruit wine in the cellar, or set some aside to age for a later evening.
Time doesn't pass on its own while you're in town or on the farm. Sort your supplies, rearrange the furniture, and think over tonight's menu before you move the day along.
Some guests come hungry. Others come hoping for a taste of home. Work alongside Gus, help passing travelers, and get to know familiar faces through meals, conversations, and the next time they stop by.
Beyond your doorstep, everyday life in town, encounters in the forest, and rumors of ancient ruins give you reasons to keep exploring.
The lights are on. Who will walk through your door tonight?
