Three farmers share a valley. None of them farm the same way.
FARMATRON 9.1 is a robot built for one purpose: grow more crops. This version will not fail like the predecessors before it. It plants more, tills more, and produces more than seems reasonable; and somehow, somehow, still doesn't grow as much as the woman next door.
Bean is the most beloved farmer in the valley. He talks to his crops. He stops traffic for his chickens. He greets each tomato by name. He'll grow you the best tomato you've ever tasted, but he won't sell you the ones he loves most... and you can't supply a restaurant from a farmer who keeps the good stuff for himself. For that, you'd want the woman next door.
Tilly is next door, and she's the best - even Bean says so. She doesn't gloat about it; she's too busy. She knows when a carrot is ready by looking at it. She knows what to plant by reading the weather. She knows what to sell and to whom. Her tools are sharp, her timing is precise, and her farm produces when no others can. If you play Tilly and the harvest comes up short, it's not on her. Tilly's never missed a harvest.
Pick one. Make quota. Survive the season.
HOW IT PLAYS
Every seed you plant removes a card from your deck. Every harvest brings it back, bigger if you've timed it right. Your farm is your deck. Plan your plantings. Watch the weather. Sell last season's surplus before the next one starts.
Three seasons. Three characters. Three years. A quota before each season ends, or the run is over.
The deck grows when the harvest is good. It shrinks when the farm suffers. Manage both.

G/T/R is being made by one person who is, somehow, all three of these characters at once.
FARMATRON is my 1AM drive. Bean is my love for the game. Tilly won't let me ship a bad product.
