日向（ひむかい）ヨウは夢を見た。
夢で、ヨウはなつかしの校舎にいた。
校舎の中で、ヨウは二人の生徒といつも一緒だった。
今は疎遠になった親友のアツシと、幼なじみのアリカ。
夢の中で、ヨウはなつかしいひと時を楽しんでいた。
しかし、それを聞いた妻のカエデは不思議そうな顔をした。
「前にヨウ、子どものころの記憶がないっていってたから」
妻の言うとおり、ヨウには中学生のころの記憶が抜け落ちていた。
どうして、いまになって思い出したのだろうか。
そんなおり、ヨウの母から電話が来た。
ヨウの顔を見たいらしい。そういえばしばらく母に会っていなかった。
ヨウは、妻とともに、かつての校舎の近くに住む母のもとへ行くことになった。
それが悪夢の始まりとは知らずに……
