Type your way through an adventure where history blurs into legend
June 11, 1362. The young Duke of Burgundy has died unexpectedly. You accompany your master, the duke’s official investigator, as he follows the trail of a possible successor. Your search brings you to the Abbey of Saint-Basle, where local legends and strange events soon complicate your mission.
A text adventure modernized without losing its roots
This is a text-based adventure where you interact by typing commands (look, take, open, talk...) and explore a medieval abbey in search for answers. Each interaction is a short loop: a brief piece of narrative, a typed action, an immediate response.
What Does It Feel Like to Play?
You wake up in your room, alone. Where is your mentor? Can you see him through the window? Is he under the bed? Does he answer if you call him? Maybe examining his bed will give a clue? Should you search his bag? Leave the room to look for him?
The game doesn't tell you what to do: it gives you the space to think and try.
Pixel art to set the scene, but not required to play
Each location is illustrated with pixel art, but the game is fully playable through text alone. It works with screen readers and is designed to be accessible to visually impaired players.
Built by hand, not by AI
This is not an AI-driven experience. Every response is written by hand. The parser builds on decades-old interactive fiction techniques, modernized to be more flexible and forgiving.
