À propos de Starshot

Starshot - à propos du jeu

When integral systems of an expedition spacecraft mysteriously begin to fail, the AI pilot, S.T.E.L.A., mistakenly wakes an inexperienced crewmate out of cryosleep instead of the lead engineer. As Crewmate #42, you must fling, float, and punch an energy core into receivers throughout a zero-gravity ship in order to restore power, regain access to the flight deck, and uncover the root cause of the problems aboard before the cryo-sleeping crew is put to sleep forever.

Meet S.T.E.L.A., Outer Reach Expedition’s Space Travel Electronic Life Assistant. She is a high-ranking hologram for O.R.E. and the AI pilot of your spacecraft. Throughout the journey, she will be at your side, even when you don’t want her to be! Whether it’s through her advice, banter, or learning more through her pilot’s logs, S.T.E.L.A.’s guiding presence will always be felt as you travel with O.R.E.

Before you embark on your journey, you should learn more about the tools you’ll be equipped with:

  • O.R.E. Gravity Gauntlets - These newly developed gloves by Outer Reach allow you to grab the open air and fling yourself, propelling throughout our spacecrafts during periods of zero-gravity. It’s as easy as grab, pull, then fling & float!

  • O.R.E. Energy Core - This volleyball-sized core has receptors that store energy, making it an easily transportable source of power in times of outages. Use your gravity gauntlets to hold the core in place or hit it to make it traverse. The harder the punch, the faster it goes, and the more it’ll bounce. Looking to have a little more fun on the job? Punch the core from an angle to give it a curved path for an awesome shot.

  • O.R.E. Recharge Station - These recharge stations are embedded in the underbelly of the ship and only come out in times of emergency. If you need to power up your core, these are the best parking spots for it to refuel. Receivers for the energy core are always located above the airlocks of each room. So, after the core is all charged up, go ahead and punch them into those receivers to get the lights back on to the respective area. Make sure to plan out your path or the job could become quite difficult if you forget to charge your energy core before reaching the receivers.

  • Ship Power Generator - Essential to the function of the ship, you’ll be tasked with launching the charged energy core into three different generators as you explore your surroundings. Once you’ve found and restored all three generators, it’s time to head to the flight deck!

  • O.R.E. Terminals - Informative computer terminals spread throughout the ship will allow you to better understand the strange world you’ve woken up in. Plus, learn more about your AI pilot and new best friend, S.T.E.L.A.! Feel free to take a break from thinking about your impending doom as you uncover S.T.E.L.A.’s journal entries and audio logs.

  • State of the Art Facility - As you use our tools to restore the spacecraft’s power, you’ll come across state of the art facilities like those in our Laboratory and Recreational wings. Be careful what you touch as anything you break will add more years to your journey to fix the repairs. But, of course, we still want you to enjoy the spaces as they were built for our O.R.E. teams to enjoy, so feel free to explore.
