SURVOLT is a team-based sports action game built around a fast-paced 3v3 format that blends precise passing, charged scoring, and full-body physical play on sliding targets.
Gameplay
Every match revolves around a single ball that gains value through team coordination. A fresh white ball starts at base value. One clean pass upgrades it to cyan for double points. When all three teammates connect with it, the ball turns gold and triples the multiplier. Landing a gold ball in the bullseye delivers nine points from a single throw. Holding the ball too long drains the charge, so constant movement between players keeps the advantage alive.
The golden zone adds another layer of risk and reward. Several times each match a section of the floor illuminates. Shots taken from inside the zone or bounced off it double in value. In the final two minutes, called Overdrive, every point total doubles again. A gold shot from the zone during Overdrive can swing a match by thirty-six points in one play.
Players control their athlete with full physical options. Throws and passes happen by hand, while volleys let you kick the ball out of the air. Bank shots off the arena walls bypass defenders. Diving, jumping, and tackling allow interceptions and steals. Setting screens creates space for teammates. Raising a hand signals for the ball, prompting both human and AI teammates to look for the open player. An aura meter fills through strong play and can be spent for a temporary burst of speed or power when needed most.
Game Modes
Single-player options include full matches against AI teams on three difficulty settings. Nine guided lessons cover the core systems one at a time, teaching movement, shooting, charge management, dribbling, volleys, zone usage, interceptions, tackles, and goalkeeping. These sessions provide a structured way to learn before jumping into competitive play.
Online supports matches from 1v1 up to 3v3. Public lobbies allow quick entry, while private rooms use a code and password for controlled groups. Connection uses NAT punch-through with automatic relay, so no manual port forwarding is required. Two arenas are available: an orbital stadium and a classic evening pitch.
Customization and Controls
Before matches, players select an athlete and adjust skin tone, eyes, hair, outfit, accessories, jersey number, and aura color. Controls work with keyboard and mouse or a gamepad, giving flexibility for different play styles and hardware setups.
Is It Worth Playing?
SURVOLT suits players who enjoy inventive team sports with layered scoring systems and physical interaction. The charge mechanic rewards quick passing and positioning, while the golden zone and Overdrive create dramatic late-match swings. Training lessons and AI opponents make the game approachable for newcomers, yet the online modes and high-value shots reward practiced coordination.
As an Early Access title developed by one person, the core rules, AI behavior, and online functionality are already functional. Additional arenas, outfits, ranked play, and spectator mode remain on the roadmap, with player feedback guiding priorities. Those who like experimenting with a unique sport and contributing to its direction will find the current version engaging, especially in local or online groups that value creative passing and timing over traditional sports simulation.
