Uncivilized takes all the fun stuff from traditional empire building games: Exploring the map, growing your empire, destroying or befriending rivals, and seeing long term plans come to fruition, then gets rid of the slow and boring bits.
Take part in quick yet meaningful exploration and expansion, engage in fast tactical combat and make decisive, exciting diplomatic choices. But fast doesn't mean easy, the game still demands astute decision making and long term planning.
4X without the fluff
See your empire grow across the map. Exterminating, befriending or culturally subsuming your rivals in the process, all within an hour. No more abandoning games after the fun expansion part is over.
Don't worry about micromanaging cities while at war or trudging units across the map for countless turns, and forget about endless stats and resources to fine tune while wondering if it’s actually making any difference.
Characterful, simulated opponents
Rich, personality-driven rival factions to play against, forming a complex web of alliances, rivalries, or bitter hatred. All driven by their own goals, innate personalities, and interactions with you and each other in the world - both diplomatic and military.
It’s all cards
All your actions are on cards. City building, scouting, upgrades, military units, defences, trade - they are all played as cards from your hand. Build and upgrade cities to produce new and better cards. Specialise down the paths of military, culture or science to unlock the most devastating or devious abilities.
And you can freely undo actions within a turn - so you're free to try things out, and don't worry about misclicks.
Every decision matters
Each turn has consequences, long and short term, visible or hidden, that ensures no two games are the same. Exploiting your cities or native tribes may give short term gains, but could lock you out of powerful technology or future relationships. Use gruesome superweapons in the process of conquering a rival, and maybe face the rest of the planet turning against you.
