"Endless Rain"is a dialogue driven pixel plot game that incorporates elements of suspense, crime, humor, and more. Players will explore the truth behind a murder case in two different time and space, gradually uncovering the true face of a small town shrouded in the haze of the past.
Story Introduction
In the late 1990s, a murder case in a small town in Southwest China disrupted the tranquility of the past. Chen Hechun, the accountant of the town factory, was accidentally killed, and the case is still pending. Gu Jiangliu, the missing security staff member, has become the murderer in the mouths of the town residents. Gu Ruixi, the daughter of Gu Jiangliu, is known as the "daughter of a murderer" and relies on her mother for survival.
Twenty years later, Gu Ruixi, who had become a police officer, accidentally became involved in the small town murder case while investigating a cultural relic trafficking case. Due to the construction of a reservoir in the local area, the old town is facing demolition. If the murder case of that year is not solved, the truth will be forever submerged underwater. The memory of the father who mysteriously disappeared, the accountant who was killed, the "old friend" whom he had never met before, and the hometown that was about to disappear echoed like a heavy punch hitting Gu Ruixi's mind.
Two eras intersect at the finish line of time, and Gu Ruixi decides to embark on the path of pursuing evil, for the person who died in vain, for the father who disappeared, and for her past self.
