The world may be in chaos. Food scarcity is making meat harder and harder to obtain. Yet we will not compromise. Our customers will enjoy the finest meat dishes in the world!
Why are you coming in the front door? Oh no, that's cute. You think you're eating here. No, please come in the back. That's where the help enters.
You play as Reynard Russet, an up-and-coming cook who hopes his hard work and dedication will earn him the coveted position of my personal Sous Chef. This promotion is not one I give easily, for the renown that comes with it will guarantee a career full of acclaim and success.
So we are left with the question... What is he willing to sacrifice to succeed?

Let's start with the real star of the show. My work transcends something as simple as a meal. It is an experience. One that costs an arm and a leg. But people will pay for it, because food is status. You aren't anyone unless you have dined with me.
And you aren't a Chef without my recognition. You are simply a cook. And if I'm not happy with your work, well, I do have a pile of resumes in my office from cooks who are hungrier than you.
Reynard Russet

The hero of our tale. Someone who wishes to prove himself worthy of my regard. He has talent, but unfortunately, he has this mad idea that he's a family man. Why anyone would accept such weakness is beyond me. Will he be able to impress me and make his family happy? A foolish and selfish goal in my opinion, but let's see what he can do.
Rosey Russet

The loving wife of our little cook. A wearisome woman who is trying to distract Reynard from everything important in his life. She badgers him with such trivial matters as love and togetherness. Why anyone would put up with such things is beyond me. But not my monkey, not my circus.
Ronnie Russet

Speaking of monkeys, Ronnie Russet is the child of Reynard and Rosey. This particular underdeveloped primate enjoys coloring and playing with the family dog. Oddly, he occupies the same house as Reynard. I have lots of children, but I just send their Mother's money to take care of them elsewhere like a sensible man.
Rolf Russet
Likely the most intelligent member of the family. Despite being poor, this pooch with his shining eyes and stupid smile has charmed them into feeding him every day. His interests include licking strange puddles in the alley, chasing squirrels, and sniffing foul smells.
So cook your way through the grueling competition to be my right-hand man. And maybe, just maybe, you can enjoy A Taste of Success.
