How hot will you let it get?
Plant too little and nothing grows. Cut too much and the planet heats up. Pass 50° and it burns.
Plant. Cut. Don't cook the sky.
Planting and cutting sit on a slider: one press, then it runs. Workers take over, from a gardener to a seed rocket, from a gatherer to a logging rocket. Laws and propaganda send people out to plant, or out to cut.
Someone will write to you.
Neighbors, companies, and politicians use the mailbox. Some want a photo. Some want the trees. A little satire, so the run is not just numbers.
Then the game opens up.
Followers can be assigned to professions. Pick a sacred tree. Survive an eco-activist war. Turn wood into furniture and raise the profit. Name the organization, pick a logo, and keep the temperature in check. A good ending is still possible at 45°, if you mean it.
Why you stay:
Three resources to balance: seedlings, trees, and money
Temperature and CO2. Past 50° the planet burns
Two endings. Scorch it, or leave it alive. Then run it again
Prestige, capped at 5. Each one opens a new mechanic
Graphs, a log, story events, achievements, and random events
Animated sun, sky, clouds, and trees
Music that changes with the CO2 level
