Path & Match is a strategic puzzle game where you must clear a path to the exit by removing groups of spheres. The spaces you leave behind form the route you can move through, while making matches allows you to earn the moves needed to navigate the board. Plan each play, overcome obstacles, traps and enemies, and adapt your strategy as the level progresses.
CREATE YOUR ROUTE
Swap spheres to form matches and remove them. The spaces they leave behind become part of your path, so choose carefully which spheres to clear as you make your way toward the exit without blocking yourself. Not every match is equally useful, and getting closer to the exit doesn't always mean you've made the right move.
EARN MOVES
Making matches earns you points and fills your movement bar. Each time you fill it, you'll gain new moves to navigate the board with your character. The more points you earn, the more moves you can build up. Your moves also represent your life: certain hazards can reduce them, and if you take damage while you have 0 moves remaining, you'll lose the level. Decide when to advance and when to keep preparing your path: spending a move at the wrong moment can make your route more difficult.
ADAPT TO EACH ROUND
Each level gives you a limited number of rounds and a limited amount of time to reach the exit. When a round changes, the board regenerates and the spaces you had opened fill with spheres again. New obstacles or hazards may also appear and alter your route, forcing you to adapt and decide how to make the most of each new situation.
OVERCOME OBSTACLES AND HAZARDS
Throughout the levels you'll encounter obstacles, traps and enemies that can block your path or change the way you progress. Some can be destroyed with adjacent matches, others must be avoided or overcome, and some will affect the board when destroyed. Learn how each element behaves and decide which strategy brings you closer to the exit.
USE ITEMS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE
You'll be able to obtain different items that can help you deal with difficult situations or prepare a better strategy. Think carefully about how to use them to get the most out of them: using an item at the right moment can make the difference between reaching the exit and falling short.
PROGRESS AND FACE NEW CHALLENGES
As you progress, you'll encounter larger boards, new mechanics and increasingly demanding situations. New challenges will appear throughout the levels, leading to special stages that put everything you've learned to the test. Some of these levels will change the usual rules of the board and force you to face different situations, new hazards and challenges that require you to adapt your strategy on the fly.
