À propos de Stick Life: Medieval

Stick Life: Medieval - à propos du jeu

Stick Life: Medieval is an indie casual simulation game for PC that places players in a compact medieval kingdom where every day runs on a twenty-minute real-time clock. The core experience centers on starting with limited resources and building a life through work, crafting, combat, and social interactions while managing rent and daily needs in an isometric world of six districts.

Gameplay

Players begin in the Serf Shack equipped with twenty-five gold and face a kingdom that includes a forge, market, and fifty residents who follow their own routines regardless of player actions. The day counts down steadily to midnight, creating a focused loop of gathering materials, producing goods, and converting them into profit. At the King's Forge, a player can win a bout to claim the loser's harness, reshape it into weapons such as an arming sword, and then sell the result or use it in further fights. Combat incorporates the forged item directly, allowing moves like pommel strikes, overhead cleaves, throwing axes, or the Murder-Stroke.

Additional production sites expand options. The Strip provides space for growing turnips and herbs. The Alembic supports brewing from a Camomile Draught up to the Great Elixir across seven phials. The Byre houses animals from doves to a draught ox that contribute to the gate chest without dying from neglect. The Tannery processes hides into saddles and cuir-bouilli cuirasses. These systems tie into broader progression through jobs listed on the tally board, such as baking pies at the Hot Coffin or singing at the Half Moon, and guild advancement from Runner to Master at the Merchants' Guild.

The world reacts to player choices. Fifty residents maintain homes and schedules, opening paths to friendships, courtship, and marriage. Street hawking of items like a saint's fingerbone can draw attention from the watch, while acquiring exotic animals such as a tiger from the Menagerie requires suitable housing. Housing upgrades range from the initial Serf Shack to a Stone Manor and ultimately the King's Castle, which costs a billion gold and supports full room furnishing in build mode. Stables can hold animals from a Pit Pony to a Destrier, and the Bazaar offers gowns, rings, and daily curios.

Game Modes

The game supports single-player progression through the full kingdom simulation. LAN multiplayer allows up to four players to share the same kingdom instance. Shared activities include shooting at the butts in Highcrown or playing Hazard in the Knucklebone's cellar, with any disputes resolvable through direct combat. Full controller support is included across these modes.

Kingdom and Progression Systems

The isometric environment features day and night cycles, four seasons, and weather that affect routines and activities across the six districts. Progression involves climbing social and economic ladders while furnishing properties and expanding a stable. Social elements encourage interaction with the fifty residents, whose independent schedules create opportunities for alliances or conflicts. Economic management covers production chains from raw materials to finished goods sold at market, with combat serving as both a risk and a source of equipment.

Is It Worth Playing?

Stick Life: Medieval targets players who enjoy time-managed life simulations with crafting, light combat, and social depth in a compact daily structure. The twenty-minute day cycle emphasizes focused sessions rather than open-ended exploration. LAN support adds a cooperative or competitive layer for small groups. As an upcoming title with no user reviews available yet, its appeal rests on the detailed systems described by the developer, including animal husbandry, alchemy, forging, and guild advancement. Those drawn to casual indie simulations with clear progression goals and multiplayer options may find the premise engaging once released.
