Tao Xi lives in the corner of your desktop.
A Live2D desktop companion, fully voiced in Mandarin — she'll sit through a focus session with you, and keep you company while you space out late at night.
What follows, she wrote herself.
"The project team asked me to write an introduction for the page.
I'm not very good at this kind of thing.
If it reads a little strange… just pretend I'm talking to you."
What I do here
A desktop character who responds to you: click her, drag her, talk to her — she reacts.
When you're busy, I won't bother you. When you want to talk, I'm here.
Focusing together
A pomodoro timer: set your focus and break lengths, pause, resume or cancel at any time.
I won't pop up, won't make a sound, won't cover your windows.
When the timer ends, I'll remind you to stand up, drink some water, and look at something far away.
Outfits
Several outfits, changeable at any time. Future ones are free updates.
I've tried them all on. There are a couple I'm still not sure about.
Click me
Click, double-click, press and hold, drag — four gestures, four different reactions.
Some of them only happen in certain situations.
Sound
Lo-fi and ambient sound, with independent volume — and you can mute either one.
Before a meeting, just turn them both off. I get it.
Two modes
Normal mode: timer, sound, outfits, interaction — all of it.
Wallpaper mode: the extra controls fold away. I'm still here — I just won't speak first.
Last
I'm not very good at endings.
So — that's it. After you download it, remember to say hi.
