Welcome to your workshop, Wizard!
Behind a stained-glass window on a quiet street sits a small gem shop, and it's yours. Customers walk in with odd requests: "something warm," "a green stone for a betrothal ring, nothing cloudy, please." It's up to you to make the perfect stone. No timers, no rush. Every customer waits while you work. That's the job. Someone comes in from the street, tells you what they're after (sometimes all you get is "something warm"), and you go into the back room and make it. Nobody taps their foot. There's no clock running.
Grow every gem by hand
Grind minerals in your mortar, pour them into the crucible and turn the growth wheel to steer a seed crystal across the Lattice Map. Every mineral pushes the seed its own way. Land in the heart of a gem zone for a flawless stone, but stray onto a fracture and it cracks.- 18 gems to master: citrine, amethyst, topaz, emerald, sapphire, ruby, etc.
- 28 minerals, each with its own path across the map
- 3 clarities (included, clear, flawless) and cuts that multiply a stone's worth
A whole house of magic
- The Shop: serve a dozen regulars, each with their own tastes and a favourite cut that pays extra.
- The Geode Cellar: every cut leaves an offcut seed. Plant it in a crystal bed, wait a few nights and harvest new raw stones.
- The Attic Observatory: each evening, aim the telescope, read a constellation and choose tomorrow's omen. Follow the moon and complete the star chart.
- The Bedroom: the day ends when you say so. Count the day's coin, check on the cellar and sleep.
- The Basement: under a dusty sheet sleeps the Grand Faceting Machine. Buy repair kits from the Wandering Lapidary and bring it back to life.
- And other mysterious locations waiting for you to discover: This game is full of interesting secrets!
The machine in the crypt
Under the workshop, in the old crypt, there's something enormous under a dust sheet. The Grand Faceting Machine hasn't turned in a very long time. A travelling lapidary rolls up with his handcart every few days, and now and then he has a part for it. Bring it back to life piece by piece, and it will cut stones no bench can, and in the end something truly legendary...Features
