Lark is a chaotic solo/co-op survival roguelite where you play as a strange little Wildthing trying to become an unstoppable problem for the world around you.
Harvest resources, craft tools, build a barely-respectable shelter, steal from strange villages, and throw questionable treasures into THE PIT in exchange for powerful equipment buffs. Every run is about scraping together supplies, making bad decisions, and stacking enough strange powers to grow from small nuisance to unhinged little god.
Play alone or host a run with up to five friends as you explore, loot, fight, sacrifice, and spiral wildly out of control together.

Explore a world filled with villages, shrines, graveyards, enemies, loot, hazards, and strange events that create chaotic little stories every run.
Lark is designed to be polished enough to play seriously, but weird enough that things can go horribly wrong in the funniest way possible.
Lark is being developed by a solo developer, and player feedback will help shape where the game goes next. Nothing below is a hard promise or locked release date, but these are the main areas planned for development during Early Access.
The current focus is making the core loop as fun, readable, and chaotic as possible:

multiplayer stability and hosting
enemy encounters and world danger
run pacing, balance, polish, and clarity
Future updates are planned to include:
More playable characters with their own abilities, strengths, and chaotic nonsense
Darker character powers and more unstable upgrade paths
Randomly generated maps, events, loot, enemies, and sacrifice opportunities
More bosses, including a final boss as a main victory condition
More equipment buffs, strange items, build combinations, and ridiculous scaling
Unlocks, cosmetics, secrets, rewards, and funny little surprises
Steam achievements, friend support, progress tracking, and multiplayer improvements
More enemies, races to steal from, hazards, secrets, polish, sound, music, VFX, and general nonsense
Some ideas may grow, some may change, and some may be thrown directly into THE PIT if they do not work. The goal is to keep improving Lark with feedback from the players who are helping shape this strange little creature into something bigger, weirder, and much more dangerous.
