Step into the shoes of a squad of four grid runners, apprehend the Ghosts and defend the city from descending into anarchy. Or become the threat yourself and outsmart your pursuers to survive the manhunt.
MIDNIGHT MANHUNT brings a fresh take on the round-tactics genre that is called Hidden Movement. The four Grid Runners are hunting an enemy that they cannot directly see. They must use their full arsenal of tracing abilities and sharp deduction to track the Ghosts’ paths.
But tracking down a Ghost is only one part of the equation. In order to catch a Ghost, the Grid Runners must position themselves intelligently, form coordinated attack plans, block escape routes and gradually tighten the net for the best chances of a takedown.
Each Grid Runner comes with a set of unique abilities, essential for a successful takedown of a Ghost.
Meet Trace, the mastermind behind each manhunt. She can trigger a city-wide scan with LUCi's help to pinpoint a Ghost's location, or deploy a Surveillance Breach to pull vehicle data from the city network, revealing a Ghost's previous move. Her Claymore Virus is a digital tripwire. One wrong step from a Ghost and their position is exposed.
K9 is the tech evangelist of the team. Her mechanical dog Rook can sniff a nearby Ghost and is very useful for ruling out potential positions, narrowing down where the Ghost might be hiding.
Then there’s Evac, a man with a dark past and few words. But when it comes to area denial and closing off escape routes, he is an invaluable asset.
Lastly, Forrest. He is the only Grid Runner who operates outside the traditional rules of traversal. Using his mechanical legs and portal disc, he can Phase Jump between non-adjacent positions in a certain radius, making him the ultimate threat to Ghosts.
The clever combination of the Grid Runners’ unique abilities and a sharp mind make the difference between a guessing game and an intelligence-driven manhunt.

Combine all sources of intel and carefully time your actions, to acquire information when it's most beneficial. Every clue could be the difference between victory and disaster. But beware of feints and false leads if you want to come out victorious in this high-stakes mind game of pursuit and deception.
Stay vigilant, as the Ghosts also have some aces up their sleeves and will strike back. An overeager and predictable attack can quickly backfire and expose flanks for the Ghosts to slip through.
