Now serving as pawns to the whims and feuds of these monster Houses, your human party of monster hunters must protect these so called aristocrats from their lower class brethren that threaten them, but only to further the ultimate goal of pulling down every monstrous House in Moldred.
On the Job:
Take on quests from various aristocratic monster Houses to defeat lower class monsters. Doing so will gain reputation with your benefactor while weakening the strength of all other Houses. Only by your cunning and strategy can your oppressed human kind reclaim the land of Moldred from the monsters that plague it.
Know Your Chances:
Pre battle assessment gives you the power to influence and choose the outcome of a battle. Swapping out items on your hunters and putting traps on monsters will show immediate effects to the projected outcome.
If these methods fail to meet your expectations, there's always sheer willpower you can tap into. By using your hunters' saved Willpower, adjust their individual performance in battle to sway even the most impossible of fights to be in your favor.
Plan to Survive:
Willpower is meant for last resorts. To survive in Moldred you must plan accordingly.
Decide when and where you will be in the land in order to catch monsters at their weakest and fulfill other events.
Further gain the advantage by making sure you empower your hunters by buying the best of items, eating the most appropriate foods, gaining the most experience and talent for your time, and using those commodities to increase your hunters' base stats and unlock their unique abilities.
Prepare for the Hunt:
Gain maximum experience for your hunters by fighting in the wilderness, or rapidly gain fame by fighting caged monsters at taverns.
Upkeep is also important - Keep your hunters rested, well fed, and stocked with items and gear to stand a chance in battle. But all effort is wasted if you don't strike when your prey is the weakest - gain the winning edge by carefully considering the time of day, what you've eaten, what you're wearing, and more.
Persevere in Battle:
Make the right choices of who should go on a hunt and who should stay behind, taking into consideration your hunters’ individual levels of vitality, pain, and energy. All your hunters’ stats make a difference in the outcome of a battle - such as the time it takes to fight, chances of injury, and more.
Rise above Darkness:
With all that's been said, there's still more advise to be given - Raise your hunting group's local Fame as high as you can to unlock more and more perks, such as access to higher tier items at markets, faster carriage speeds, and carriage space. And don't neglect staving off the Darkness, as it only serves to empower that which you seek to rid - the Monsters of Moldred.
