As the artifact's power weakens, the demons gradually return to reclaim what belongs to them. Complete your mission, gather vital resources, and reach extraction before the darkness consumes everything—including you.

SURVIVE THE DAY/NIGHT CYCLE

The artifact restores the natural day/night cycle to the world above. Initially it lasts only 1 day (~20-30 minutes). Upgrade it to extend surface time to multiple days (~40-60+ minutes), unlocking harder content and greater rewards.

• Navigate a handcrafted map with diverse biomes: burned villages, dark forests, swamps, apocalyptic ruins, and caves

NIGHT — DEMONS RULE

• Demon Patrols hunt survivors across the map
  
• Hell Portals spawn waves of attackers
  
• Night Monsters emerge from the shadows
  
• Find defensible positions, use stealth, or fight until sunrise

DARKNESS RETURNS — EXTRACT OR DIE
When the artifact expires, the apocalypse returns with a shrinking safe zone. You have 5 minutes to reach extraction before the darkness reclaims the world, bringing the most powerful demons with it.

Collect up to 7 Sins during each run—powerful temporary upgrades that dramatically alter your playstyle:

• Boost core stats (damage, speed, health, resistances)

• Stack multiple Sins to create unique builds each session
  
• Experiment with combinations to discover powerful synergies

DEATH & CONSEQUENCES
Die on the surface and you lose All Sins and your Current Inventory.

However:

• Your lost inventory can be reclaimed — Find your dropped loot in future runs
  
• Character progression is permanent — Skill tree upgrades stay with you
  
• Crafting materials are safe — Resources for base building are never lost

Every death is a setback, not a restart. Your permanent progression ensures you're always moving forward.

Successfully extracted loot is safely stored. Death means losing your current inventory, but your stash remains intact.
