RageByte is a minimalist precision platformer that teaches you the rules… then quietly changes them.
Inspired by classic unfair games and modern rage-platformer design, RageByte delivers brutally short, handcrafted levels packed with twists, traps, and perfectly timed betrayals.
The idea is simple:
Each stage is one screen.
Each challenge takes seconds.
And every victory makes you just a little more suspicious.
You will be trained.
Rewarded.
Punished.
And then immediately betrayed.
(It builds character.)
Just when you’re feeling confident, the game politely reminds you that confidence was a mistake.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Bite-sized, single-screen levels
Precise, responsive platforming
Deceptive layouts and “creative surprises”
Mechanics that evolve every few stages
Retro terminal-style visuals
Glitchy beeps, boops, and mild electronic panic
Plenty of perfectly clippable moments
Levels arrive in themed sets, each introducing new gimmicks or remixing old ones. The game gently conditions you to think a certain way… right before proving that was a bad idea.
DIFFICULTY
This game isn’t unfair.
It’s just… creatively dishonest.
Some players will breeze through it.
Others will question their life choices.
Both outcomes are intentional.
(Rage responsibly.)
